America was NEVER a Christian nation, so let’s go ahead and destroy that myth.

When you objectively look at American history and compare it with the character the Bible calls for, you will see that it is in want.

From the very first moment European settlers stepped foot on this land, they’ve engaged in bloodshed, deceit, and exploitation.

In their conquest of this land, they claimed this was their divine right or manifest destiny. They compared themselves to Israel to justify their barbaric behavior. That didn’t stop there as it would be something they did quite often.

The common man has always been duped and manipulated by charismatic leaders. Their ignorance of God’s character and fear of hell and punishment contributed to the shaping of their mindsets.

The slave trade and racism was justified by inaccurate interpretations of the scriptures and the character of God. They needed to find something to make it seem like the horrors they committed in the pursuit of prosperity was approved by God.

This has gone on for 400 years and is still going strong. People are still using scripture to justify racism.

It breaks my heart seeing and hearing people turn away from God because of the hypocrisy and history. They can’t divorce the faith from the brutal actions of the hypocrites and murderers. I definitely understand why they feel that way.

Truth be told, we will still have this fight for a long time. It sucks, but I am also confident that this next move if God that will draw millions of people in will make those with that hypocritical mindset more and more of a minority.
