people are saying "oh amy santago's cool" or "oh judy hopps is good" and yeah, they're sympathetic characters, but that's just that. they're fictional. they're cops who were written by people. they are an idealized version of what cops SHOULD BE - people who serve and protect (2)

this isn't fiction. there's no jake peralta here. cops out there aren't protecting or serving POC. they're discriminating against black, asian, and latino people every day.
