If you love a Korean person (or really anyone from a different place), please respect our culture. You don't have to agree with us. You can think/feel/act the ways you believe are right. But please understand that we have different ways we live life that are valid too.

When I'm in the US, ppl often tell me I'm bad or not good enough because I'm too Korean. When I'm in Korea, ppl often tell me I'm bad or not good enough because I'm too American. Actually, I think both cultures are brilliant and beautiful, tho different. (Oh geez, so different.)

And I think it's important to challenge each other on our differences because that's the only way we can learn from each other and grow. But I just ask that we do this with kindness and an open mind. Please help us understand you, but also please try to understand us.
