Some of yall have never spent any time around anarchists. They vary from thoughtful young people who protest before going home & debating whether they are truly Bakunist or Sorelian to dudes who sleep in a closet w/ a pee-jar & then fight for their right to have sex w/ 17 yr olds

The right-wing demonization of anarchists is clearly authoritarian & stupid. Less stupid-but still stupid-is the valorization of all anarchists. Some are thoughtful people. Others are jerks who clearly have no problem co-opting the pain of black people as an excuse to burn things

The vast majority of the protesters are acting in good faith, at least where I'm at. There's a small cadre of white nationalists & self-proclaimed "anarchists." We've seen black organizers pleading w/ the latter group to be respectful. It's repugnant to see them not listen.

Anyway, there are probably definitely some really considerate anarchists participating who care about the cause. There are also clearly some dipshits who think taking a dump & lighting it on fire is sticking it to the state.

It's not all one thing.
