Going to tweet a few takeaways from the 7PM presser from @GovTimWalz and others on the situation here in Minnesota...

Officials warned of "caches" of gasoline and other incendiaries. Some are at or near earlier fires and appear to be planted days ago, others appear to be left in the last 24 hours. Also found them in cars stopped as early as this AM.

Pub Safety Commissioner Harrington said they are also finding stolen vehicles with plates removes that are being used to transport these flammable materials. Looted goods and weapons, including rocks, have also been found in those stolen cars.

Harrington on role of cars without license plates, some of which are stolen: “The fact that we’ve seen so many of them in so many places now makes us believe that this is part of that pattern that shows that this in fact an organized activity and not some random act of rage."

On leads re: SPECIFIC groups or networks involved: Harrington said no "credible evidence of any specific group being here in MN." “There’s a lot of rumors, there’s a lot of stuff up on social media. We are feeding that to our [intel] units to try to see if we can validate or vet"

Harrington said no plans as of now for state to release a full list of people arrested in connection with the unrest/curfew violations, all of that is kept at the county level now. But said there HAVE been arrests outside Hennepin and Ramsey counties.
