So I've been seeing a lot of posts about not being afraid to express your views and not worry about people unfollowing you for them. Been hesitant to really share bc I don't want it to be emotion based and only RT'd things I agree with.

My view points don't fit nicely in a box.
Preface: I'm an immigrant from a country that had a successful coup d'etat in the late 80's. I was born a few years after but I love reading about my home country's history. My dad was kind of involved in the coup and aftermath

Fighting for whats right isnt exclusive to America.
1. George Floyd was MURDERED by that officer and I believe 95% of the country agrees. I don't see people disagreeing on this point and if they are, they're blind to the facts, whatever bias is making them think that.
2. Not all cops are bad. I used to work at a PD & are still friends with many of them. They have all expressed disgust to how George Floyd was treated. Just because you don't see cops standing up to police brutality, doesn't mean they aren't. Social media only shares a fraction
3A. Riots/looting of big box stores and locally owned businesses are distractions and does not help the cause. You weren't heard when you were peaceful? Well everyone's too focus on the looters now so it'll be tough to get attention.
3B. Riots/looters also have unintended trickle down consequences to the community they are attacking. I watched lots of first hand videos on this. I can provide examples if you want to know.
4A. This should be more about police brutality than race. (probably going to get a lot of hate for this one LOL)

I don't care which race has been wrongfully killed more by police. The fact that police has ended the lives of many people in general is disturbing.
4B. Focusing on a race alienates many who have been wronged by police. By calling out police brutality, it unites more and more people, even doubters who push statistics which in tail push for a reform on officer training and/or creating a third party entity to keep them in check
4C. There have been videos of LE overreacting to peaceful protestors of all colors, showing how their training endangers citizens. I hate the media and even what they did to the CNN crew was fucked up. We pay taxes for them to protect us so help them help us.
5. Opportunists are taking advantage of mob mentality. Mob mentality can be good but also bad.

6. Trump needs to shut up and stay off social media. Like seriously. He's too polarizing for a situation like this.
Anyways that's my point of view on all this. I don't have an answer on how to handle all this. I don't think anyone does to be honest. But I'm open clarifying any of points privately or publicly. I just wanted to have my views out there.
