7. People who are radicalized to commit violence are often portrayed as disenfranchised, unintelligent, people with little opportunity.
8. And while extremist organizers do target people with these characteristics, whatever Mattis & Rahman’s backgrounds, they were given every opportunity to succeed in life.
9. Some people are going to say that this is the natural outcome to radical left politics, to critical race theory, to intersectionality, etc.

But Mattis & Rahman are still (currently) outliers. Their recent actions don’t represent what the majority of progressives want.
10. I do think that this should serve as a warning to the left that this is what can happen when you drive your politics off a cliff or in this case, in a van to Brooklyn to bomb the NYPD.
