a light example: we see it all the time in interviews when it’s painfully obvious that other groups aren’t allowed to mention bts, and vice versa. they have teams that monitor the Fuck out of what they say and when they say it. i see a lot of people calling bts anti black and+
as a black person i don’t think that’s the case at all. i’m begging for them to say something. BEGGING. i know they could help so much. i also know that they need to get the “okay” from bh to do so. they’re going to speak up. we know who they are, they wouldn’t ignore this.
and this isn’t me making excuses for anyone, this is me noticing and reading the room. i see a lot of non blacks and antis trying to make it seem like something it’s not while black people are just respectfully asking for something to be said.
the same energy you’re using to try and cancel people, and tell us how to feel, needs to be used to pick up your phone and do something. sign petitions. donate what you can. spread information. be a true ally. this performative activist bs ain’t gonna cut it.
