But when protests in Minneapolis grew more intense, we were reminded of Ferguson protestors who were targeted by the police for years after gaining a national platform from widely syndicated images, several of whom later died under suspicious circumstances https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-news/ferguson-death-mystery-black-lives-matter-michael-brown-809407/
Once we become aware of the possibility of harm our work can cause the people we document, as journalists it is our duty to mitigate it.
