There's a new "copycat" drama starting in sonic fandom...
So... I just want to say to the young artists one thing... If you are inspired by someone's art style that is great, this is really one of the ways to try and find your own style eventually!

But when you redraw a pose from the latest art of artists you are inspired by - that's copying. It is. I'm sorry. Two days. Thee days passed. It doesn't matter. I'm always glad when newbies trying styles but copying original ideas?

If the artists didn't ask you to draw the art in your style it'll be better you do not try copying the pose and idea. Even if you draw other characters instead of the original, most people could see the resemblance. This behavior will take away your individuality.

If you want to learn to do poses — try learning human/animal anatomy first. Try drawing from photos where models pose specifically for artists to draw these poses, to learn the anatomy and dynamics of movements.

"It's too hard and will take too much time" you may think. Yeah. It will be hard. It will take time.
But... Don't you think the artists who you copy from did the same route to achieve where they at?..

As an artist myself it's painful for me to see the obvious resemblance of copied artworks. I can see how good they are actually. They managed to "redraw" the work but did not actually traced it. And it's amazing! It means you have a huge talent hidden behind this copycat!

But instead, you start to act like a bitten up kitten when someone calls you out if they see the pattern of your attempts of copying the original...

The new drama I started this thread from actually may have a reason for the artist to be upset. The artist's art style is veeery specific, not like a canon A LOT and really well known. The copied arts clearly ARE copies. Pretty good copies but still just copies.

Please. PLEASE DON'T PLAY A VICTIMS after the drama with isa*
Don't use the card of "inspiration" or "learning" or "dtiys". Because if you did, you would tag the artists who you copied from with good intentions.

The things that started after isa* drama actually looks like a joke compared to what happened. No one harassed you. They just laughed and asked to stop copying from their poses. And the 'copycat" move is actually seen where...

2020 can't get sadder to me... Or maybe I'm getting way too old for this stuff...
