When in Korea there was the candlelight protests (the ones in the pictures, with thousand of people), followed by the impeachment of ex-president Park, I didn't see anyone asking a tweet from 8T5, and that was their own country. No one asked to American artists to talk about it https://twitter.com/ItalianARMY_BTS/status/1267235513548918792
So, it seems a lot of you are ignorant about what the caldlelight protests were about. Yes it was about corruption. And yes people died because of it, even children. It involved basic human rights too.
And this was just an example. I could have mentioned the Nth Room. The Hong +
+Kong protests. The Indian Amendment Bill, and much more. Media don't talk much about other countries, but basic rights are violated every day in every part of the world, and this concern all of us. +
+In this moment me and you are probably using devices that contains cobalt, mostly of which extracted in Congo from children and people that die because of this. Did anyone trend an hashtag about this ever? No. 8T5 quoted Martin Luther King Jr in Not Today, +
+8T5 spoke about racial equality at their UN speech and in some concerts too. Speaking about the issue even when it's NOT trending is the REAL discriminating factor that shows they care. If they do it now, people will hate accusing them to tweet for clout, or to solve Y00ngi+
+issue. People will became angry because they talked about this but not about that (as it already happened in the past). No matter what they do, they would be wrong.+
+ Moreover, we don't know if they already made a donation, for example. There were times when they secretly donated for causes, and we come to know about it after a while, only because the news was leaked. So I really can't +
+understand why people are assuming things they don't know and pretending that a boyband (not a politician, activist etc..have you checked them all?) from Korea has to tweet about the injustice of the American police state or otherwise it means they don't care about racial issues
