A lot of us on here come from privileged backgrounds (myself included) and we’ve mostly been shielded from the cruel side of reality for most of our lives.

The events in the past few days are a reality check for us. We can see how vile and despicable humans can be.

It also makes me feel like we take relatively peaceful times for granted.

Stability and order are more fragile than we imagine them to be. And you never get over the haunting thought of “what happens next?”

I mean, if someone told you all this would happen in December, would you have believed them?

Some people are coping fine. Some people are in an existential crisis. Some are unbothered and most of us just wish it will all come to an end.

What’s the purpose of this thread? You ask.

Me nuh know. I’m just as confused as you are. These are just some random thoughts finding their way from my mind to my keyboard and to your TL.

I don’t know if everything will be alright. It’s all overwhelming.
