I got tired of Nigeria after the rape of that little girl in Utako by a night Guard about a year ago. The police were helping hide the evidence and preventing investigation.

Something died in me for not been able to help that little girl beyond what I did. I hate it still!
From that day the, the will in me to fight sort of died. At that moment I wished I could fight different. Maybe take up arm and shoot the perpetrator and end his miserable life. But what would that say of the social contract to entrust that power with the state?
But what is a social contract when actions lack consequence, the powerful trampled upon the powerless, justice becomes illusive? Is there really a social contract when the state cannot protect you? Is there really a state worth calling a state?
One thing is certain, no state witnesses peace where injustice is the recipe of living especially for the powerful. Eventually laws become mere words and chaos takes centre stage.
