I've once again just seen a French person making a post about French police saying "don't say French cops are bad, it's not the American ones", yes of course let's wait for them to kill and injure more people than they already have to criticize them. That's so smort, thank you.
Saying that French cops are violent can be quite an hot take here. For instance, last week, the singer & actress @Camelia_Jordana has to face a huge backlash & the Home Secretary + a police federat° threatened of pressing charges against her bc she denounced that violence on TV.
And that's really fucked up as police violence is omnipresent. But racism is so powerful here that every time there is a police blunder, a lot of (white) people are just saying "yeah but it was probably a criminal" and move on to something else.
And in the meantime, these same people are yelling "presumption of innocence" every time a famous white guy is accused of sexual violence. Such hypocrisy.
I don't know where I'm going with this thread so I'll ended it now. To conclude: #BlackLivesMatters everywhere on this fucking planet.
