i’m not saying people can’t change but it makes me so mad seeing people that have said racist or colorist shit to me in the past (justifying it as their “opinion”) suddenly rting about blm bc they don’t want to get called out/cancelled or they’re concerned about losing followers

it’s performative and it’s bullshit and i will always regret not sticking up for myself in some of those instances where i was scared of pissing everyone in the group off by starting a fight

esp bc the one i keep turning over and over in my head dealt w the same fucking colorism in latino communities i’ve faced myself & even though i have cut ties w that person i will always regret not saying anything and letting that shit slide bc everyone else was laughing

i have ALWAYS been vocal when it comes to blm and racism so i hope i have expressed that properly. when i say “instances” i’m specifically talking about my own experiences w racism and colorism against latino ppl where i have been scared to speak up.
