religion is dangerous for so many reasons, but i think one of the most dangerous thing about it is that the indoctrination from such a young age does not leave room for any critical thinking skills.

critical thinking skills allow for brains to think differently. when you believe god is the reason for everything instead taking responsibility for your own actions then you think that everything will eventually work out and that god has a plan. when there isn’t a plan.

so when people don’t have certain life experiences they cannot even fathom the suffering of others. that’s why so many white people are just now noticing that people of color have different experiences than them. obvs not all religious people but some
