last things imma say before I log off for the day bc I’m tired.

1. stop comparing this issue to other issues that r happening n saying “nothing was done or said abt that so why this” bc this is not a new issue and this is not an isolated local one either. it’s a global one.+

and this is not a competition for which cause should be supported or shouldn’t be. it’s insulting that you would be insulted by black people getting a little bit more attention for a couple days after YEARS of daily screaming.

2. if you’re choosing to focus and boost negative posts / people twisting shit in a time where a good majority is trying to be reasonable and make sense of things when tensions are high, your priorities are showing. for every post that’s ‘too much’ there r 10 that r just enough.

3. your resentment towards Americans is not even making sense. you’re saying other issues should be global and they should, but are you really gonna act like black Americans did not make this issue that big through blood sweat and tears ? how can you see what’s happening and act+

like people truly care when even in their own country they’re being attacked for speaking up?? How are you gonna RESENT them rn for finally managing to bring worldwide attention to a cause they’ve been fighting about for years ? How r u making this a competition rn??

Everytime. EVERY TIME the black diaspora gets attention, other communities get mad because their issues do not get as much attention, as if black people had seen true change?? As if anyone actually CARED more abt black ppl? if it was the case wouldn’t the issue b over already??

Put this “you guys only care bc this is the us” sht to bed RIGHT now. the ENTIRE issue is that black Americans are not treated like any other American so what you’re NOT gonna do is credit America for black people’s hard work regarding this issue.

Black people have been pushing their mental health to the side constantly exposing themselves to triggering content to get this attention. Black people have been putting their life at risk in the middle of a pandemic to get this attention. We DESERVE this shit for fucks sake.

4. Damn near every celebrity is getting heat rn. Anyone with a platform is getting heat bc tensions are high and everyone is emotional and exhausted. This is about people who have power to use that power. What we need to recognize is that black people aren’t a monolith.

Some people want celebrities to speak up, some want them to shut up and just donate, some want them to just boost black voices. ALL we agree on is that we want a show of allyship. OBVIOUSLY it is not as easy to get from one celebrity to another for several reasons.
