things my racist family has said in the past 24 hours:
- “its mostly mexicans and blacks rioting and destroying everything!”
- (downplaying george’s death in comparison to the buildings that are being destroyed)

- sat right in front of a black woman and her mexican husband (who are family friends) and said these things during a family function.. which made them both visibly uncomfortable
- “not all cops are bad! this is just one bad cop who abused his badge!!”

- “the guy who killed (george) was the only white cop there!! all the other ones were mexican, asian, or whatever!!”
- ended the conversation with “i hope i didnt offend u! we didnt mean any harm!”

- oh! they also tried to (indirectly) tell the aforementioned black woman that they thought the riots were stupid after she said something along the lines of “they’ve tried to peacefully protest in the past and it didnt work!”
