Thread: PLEASE stop critiquing and criticizing how others show up or not show up in this moment. Now isn’t the time to be self-righteous, either. Everybody has a part to play.

The questions you should be asking yourself are: what is my part? And, how can *eye* help someone 1/
else do theirs?

Everyone isn’t meant to be on the proverbial frontline. Some people bring the water to the people on the frontline and their contribution is just as valuable.

Find your ministry, your lane, your part. 2/
Remember, there are people who have been advocating for change, leading, and fighting for #BlackLivesMatter before it was a hashtag and others since it became one. 3/
Give people some grace that in this moment perhaps they needed to take a step back with the hope that others would fill in the void or hold space for them as they catch their breath to be able to jump back into the fight. That’s solidarity. 4/
Sometimes people need to tag-out and someone else to tag-in. That’s sustainability.

We are in the midst of a pandemic, most of us have been isolated from our families and friends, while losing loved ones to the virus at the same time, 5/
we’re taking in graphic images of Black people being harassed by the Amy Cooper’s of the world and lives being murdered in their own home, while jogging by armed vigilantes and on the streets by cops. 6/
Not to mention thousands of people are unemployed due to COVID and haven’t received one unemployment check yet.

People are dealing with trauma and are barely hanging on. 7/
We are fighting against a system of oppression, let’s not oppress each other.

Take care of yourself and each other.
End.
