Dear Gambians,
I need you all to want better, know better & do better for yourselves. To do that you need to educate yourselves. There is so much more that we want for our country & to achieve them we need to question our leaders about their plans & policies to develop Gambia.

There is a video making the rounds about a lady who wants to be the next president and I am appalled by the disgusting comments under the post. Instead of focusing on her capabilities, people are interested in:
1) Her gender
2) Her style/mode of dressing
3) Her marital status

All the above have nothing to do with one& #39;s capacity to lead & should be the last thing you bother yourselves with. When a man runs for office, we never bat an eye about any of the above points. No one cares if they wear a suit, have an afro or are not married.
We need to stop being sexist and pushing women away from leadership roles because of cultural stereotypes and prejudices. More importantly, we need you to stop judging women on frivolous issues that are of no relevance to our development.
