There’s a good chance you’ve seen a version of this world IQ map. What you may not realise is that all such maps are based on BS data from a series of books written by Pioneer Fund head and white nationalist Richard Lynn and published by Richard Spencer.
But you may not know that this data has been cited over 2000 times according to Google Scholar and that half of all “peer reviewed” citations come from 2 journals, Elsevier’s Intelligence and Elsevier’s Personality and Individual Differences.
These two Elsevier journals are stepping stones used by far-right activists to smuggle their pseudoscience into the mainstream, as papers published in these seemingly legitimate journals go on to be cited throughout the scientific literature.
One might expect this kind of thing from Youtube...
...but would hope for better from the Royal Academy.
I'm sure it's just a coincidence that one of these Journals is Elsevier's Intelligence... https://twitter.com/Simon_Whitten/status/1263265888045871105
Ah yes, a perfectly normal journal...
Dysgenic fertility... maybe a software bug causes the date to be incorrectly rendered as 2013 instead of 1913?
