Linda Lonay & Mohamed Hooshmand are a self described 'small time landlords' but own over 28 buildings w over 75 housing units. Many of their tenants are having a hard time w rent and lease issues and have unionized. They protested today. Over 20 members of the tenants council are currently withholding rent until their requests for COVID related rent and lease adjustments are met. These include: 1. cancellation of rent for COVID tenants during shelter in place, 2 rent reduction till the end of the year

3. approval of subtenants applying to be added to their leases w no increase in rent. So far neither Linda Lonay nor Mohamed Hooshmand have negotiated. Council organized a car caravan protest with over 40 cars and delivered their demands on LL and MH's doorstep in Piedmont today.
