You can sit there and say “I’m not racist but....” all day long, but read the fucking room. If the only other groups on your side right now are cops and the KKK, you might want to reevaluate your stance QUICK. This isnt political, these are basic human rights.

The murder of George Floyd may have been the catalyst of these specific protests, but the truth is the police will kill ANYONE, not just black men. The people trying to discredit the movement by saying “but this happens to whites too!” should be JUST as angry rn??

Why do we need to shut up and accept police brutality just bc it could happen to all of us? Shouldnt we be speaking up MORE?? I want to make it clear, this thread is NOT me saying “all lives matter,” this is just me pointing out how delusional “all lives matter” really is.

Look at these protests. The cops aren’t just assaulting black people right now, theyre not even just assaulting protesters or looters. They’ll shoot and spray ANYBODY walking down the street, they don’t care. What makes YOU think you’re safe???

Black people are disproportionately targeted by the police bc it’s easier to get away with on a daily basis due to systematic racism, that’s why we protest and say “BLACK LIVES MATTER.” But the truth is, the police don’t give a fuck about ANY of us.

That’s why we’re seeing police running over protesters, shooting celebrities, arresting state representatives and news anchors. This behavior isn’t new, it’s not bc they’re “losing patience,” it’s bc they know they will get away with harming ANYBODY rn, not just black people.

But when this is all over, if we let it end, guess who they’ll go back to targeting? Not Halsey, I promise you that. That’s why we say “ALL COPS ARE BAD.” Right now the police are showing us that NO ONE is safe as long as they can get away with it, BELIEVE THEM.

We can end this and take away their power but we NEED to start by supporting the group they target the most, the group they feel most comfortable killing on a normal day, and that is black people. You cannot say “all lives matter” until BLACK LIVES MATTER.
