White people keep asking “what can I do”?
1. First of all, imagine your white loved one as George Floyd or Breonna Taylor or Tamir Rice.
2. No really. Close your eyes and imagine someone you love dearly being gunned down for playing with a toy gun

Or a sleep in their own bed, or on their stomach begging for their dead mother as they are being casually choked to death. Imagine it. Let it infuse your consciousness.

7. Don’t ask any other Black person what you can do. We are grieving. Make a casserole and drop it off on our doorstep. Send texts and emails filled with love. But STOP asking Black people what you can do. It others us.
And lastly. Don’t talk to your Black friends about the loss of fucking property and buildings. We don’t give a fuck. I don’t give a shit about a car on fire. I care about Black people dying. That’s my trauma. Not a broken windows at the fucking Grove.
