So, anyway, Bakemonogatari's first episode is one of the best first episodes for how much of an artistic experience it was. The storyboarding, the sceneries, the color work, the background art, the sound design, the presentation, and the unique character are all tools that get https://twitter.com/aofiji1/status/1267180704917528581
the viewer immediately immersed in the story. The tranquil music corresponds smoothly with the quiet scenes of Araragi walking across the hallways, creating these masterfully directed scenes. The first episode sets the mysterious tone damn near flawlessly with Hitagi's strange
condition. It also introduced Araragi and Hanekawa. It revealed a portion of their personalities that was decent enough for the viewer to get a good grasp of who they are. It also showed subtle hints at how Araragi doesn't find a lot of things interesting, as well as demonstrat-
ing Hanekawa's uptight, restricted, and formal personality through her interactions with Araragi. It also set the plot in motion by having Hitagi reveal her goal and a way to achieve that goal, but didn't show much of the method they'll use to achieve her goal, adding to the
mystique of the anime. The first episode was truly a masterpiece of a first episode, and that panty shot was gold. I know I reacted to it in a visceral way, but I wasn't bothered by it in the slightest. 10/10 first episode. Also, watch Eva. It's the best.
Lmao, I'm already making threads on Bakemonogatari. I just love it way too much to not defend it.
