I just received a facebook message from a white woman I& #39;ve interacted with exactly once, asking me to help her educate her three children on "everything that is going on." because this somehow still needs to be said, white people, please don& #39;t do this.

our conversation ended well, considering: she apologized, acknowledged her privilege, and admitted that her discomfort compelled her to seek help rather than take her own initiative. I suggested she donate to bail funds and make her friends and family uncomfortable too.

this shit is...dishearteningly incremental. but we continue.
