Hey all! Nikki, founder of Buy From A Black Woman checking in because there has been an influx of new people adding BFABW to your timelines. For that, I am grateful...
I started Buy from a Black Woman because I wanted to do my part in ensuring that not only are Black Women getting the tools and resources needed to be successful business owners, but that there is a platform that fully committed to spreading awareness about these businesses...
Our main website: http://BuyFromABlackWoman.org  is filled with education materials, awareness products and list events. Classes and that will help Black Women Business Owners start, market and grow sustainable businesses...
Our sister site: http://BuyFromABlackWomanDirectory.org  showcases businesses that are owned and operated by Black Women. It is there where you can discover, shop & support directly.

We live by the phrase “One you support one Black Woman Business Owner, you support a whole community.”
As the founder of Buy from a Black Women, you will never hear me say Black Women do not support each other, because:

1.That isn’t true
2. That isn’t my experience.
I go above in beyond to make sure all items I use, buy and gifted others are from Black Women Business Owners.
Buy from a Black Woman is truly my mantra.
If you follow my personal account on IG you will see I sometimes share some of the items that I buy directly from Black Woman, but I here's a thread of some of my favorite things...

So, let’s begin:
I drink whiskey. I am drinking some now. My whiskey comes from @UncleNearest , which is owned by a Black Woman.
Sometimes I make hot toddies. That requires tea. I get my tea direct from @IvysTeaCo, which is owned by a Black Woman. This is the only tea brand I buy.

Ivy’s Tea is also our 2016 Black Woman Business Grant Recipient and is giving back by leading the BFABW Accountably Group.
If you’ve seen me, you know I love protective styles for my hair. The hair I use comes directly from @latchedNhooked which is owned by a Black Woman. No more pre-washing with this brand.
I also use hair products from @ChocKinksNKurls & @oyinhandmade.

Both are owned by Black Women.
After I get done  braiding my hair, my nails require a touch up. I use the Nail Polish from @taupecoat , which is owned by a Black Woman, to do this.

Taupe Coat is also a BFABW Black Woman Business Grant Recipient.
Most of my mornings start with Yoga. I use @flexnfly Yoga mats when practicing.

My Yoga mat came from a Black Woman Business Owner.

This the Yoga Mat. This the one. She even has a travel mat that you can fold and wash...in the machine!

Black Women think of everything.
My Soap & Body Oil comes from @AbiyahNaturals . This Black Women Business is in such high demand that her local Whole Foods cannot keep her products on the shelf.

Yes, she is a Black Woman who has her products in her local Whole Foods.
My daily multivitamin, @movitamins is purchased on a holistic marketplace, @BLKandGRN .

Both are owned by Black Women.
I also smoke cigars. There is one called Mova Princess that I grab from @ReserveCigar.

Reserve Cigar is owned by a Black Woman.
When it’s time to celebrate I pop bottles of Stuyvesant Champagne.

On other days I might have a bottle of wine that is prepared by a Black Woman from @sipandsharewine.

Sip & Shares Wines is also a Black Woman Business Grant Recipient.

Also shout out to @McBrideSisters
My house smells good because of candles from Oasis Soul Scent & The Precious Homes.

If these names look familiar it is because, Oasis Soul was our 2019 BFABW Web Grant Recipients & we carried The Precious Home candles in our Community Supporter boxes.
My therapist, accountant and lawyer are all Black Women.

When it comes to anything IP or Copyright, I call @nicgaitheresq a Black Woman Intellectual Property Attorney.

You can visit the BFABW YouTube to see some of Nicole past video Q&A’s.
@TwoDoughGirls, @TheCakeandCompany & @chicsugars are some of my favorite Black Women Bakeries.

It should also be noted that The Cake and Company is our 2018 Black Woman Business Grant Recipient. This is a photo of some of Two Dough Girls amazing makes.
Who doesn’t like Ice Cream? It’s even better in a waffle bowl.

I grab my VEGAN MADE Ice Cream from First Batch Artisan Food and I put them in a @Sassy_Cones

You know both of these are Black Women Owned.

Sassy Cones? She's the 2019 Black Woman Business Grant Recipient.
Some of my artwork comes from J. A Black Woman illustration Designer over at @WashingtonCuts . You may have seen some of her work if you’ve ever been inside of the National Museum of African American History & Culture. She is all over that place.
These are just a FEW of the items I use on the regular that are made by Black Women. I have so much more to share but, have to get back to work...
