seeing more and more white folks expressing that black lives matter. this is great. but the work doesn’t stop there. we need to know what’s going in the white community that allows this violence to continue. how are y’all raised? why do you hate us so damn much? we need answers.

white folks have been able to stay silent. white folks have been able to center the conversations about racism on black folks. white folks stay silent while we are forced to explain and make sense of the violence.

as wretched as racism is for us—white folks y’all ain’t gotten off easy. your humanity has been taken from you. white supremacy has robbed you as well. it’s time to decide if you’d rather remain white or become fully human.
