our first contender for the ant-Blackness award is Wendy. Although I love and support the rest of RV, she keeps doing this time and time again. She especially has no excuse since she went to school in Canada

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the caricurization of Black people is extremely harmful and links back to the Jim Crow era. Although I don’t think she knows how deep this issue runs she DEFINITELY knows better and should do better

Our second contender is Gfriend. Ik this was a while ago and was a relatively minor infraction but this microagression was super hurtful especially because of the cultural significance behind locs

Third we have Mamamoo. Yes ik they apologized but I don’t know how you can have racist incidents happen MULTIPLE racist incidents and not take any responsibility. Like even if nacer did change the lyrics that one time she still sang it?

also ik they were trying to impersonate Bruno Mars and apparently he’s a non-Black latinx person but let’s be honest we all thought he was Blakc for a moment there and it’s still brown face

i love twice but i hate that this was never addressed at all and would appreciate an apology for the use of such a hurtful word
