That stick of dynamite there is very real. Russell did not realise how powerful it would be though, and he was fully blown backwards. This take was the one left in the movie #ZavviWatchParty
Carpenter shot an alternative ending that was never used. Editor Ramsay was concerned the original ending was too bleak and ambiguous, so they filmed a scene where Mac was rescued and determined as not infected. Thankfully, they stuck with the original ending. #ZavviWatchParty
