A story going under the radar.

If a family member had a brain tissue sample taken in Beaumont Hosp between 1987 & 2018, it's being given to a company called GMI. (Possibly 9,000 patient's samples) See thread below.

It's an opt out system and the closing date is 12th June. 1/5

Only a couple of ads were placed in newspapers to inform families. (See above)

To have to discuss such a personal matter with family, living far away, has been extremely difficult. They gave me permission to speak about this. 3/5

As it's an 'opt out' system there should have been more effort to raise awareness by GMI

Even a radio ad would have been fairer to the families that will be affected, including mine.
