Pay attention to the kids.

One evening, a few days ago, I took a stroll to stretch my body & also get some house supplies. At the shop, there were two kids—a boy and a girl.

The boy would sprinkle water on the girl, and she’d cry out for him to stop it. He’d laugh and continue.
The boy’s mother was present, as were two other adults.

They all clearly heard the girl complain several times, but went about business as usual. I mean, it’s just kids being kids, right?

I don’t like scolding other people’s kids, so I just bit my tongue and stood there.
As expected, he didn’t stop. And nobody said anything. The girl was crying by now, and I’d had it. Asked the boy to stop before I smack him upside the head.

He did. But you see, I knew he would only continue as soon as I left the shop.
Bad behavior like that often goes unchecked in male children, who then grow to be entitled adult men who are used to having their way (with women).

Don’t brush things off because “boys will be boys.”

Don’t excuse bad behavior. Pay attention.
