⚡2/7 we shouldn't let those differences be a reason to push us away. It's important to remember the things that bind us together in the end; we're all concerned citizens, we're all watching history unfold together, and in this case more so than anything, we're all Chargers fans.
⚡3/7 Maybe we should take an altruistic approach and take opinion and commentary out of what we share here so as to not offend or make others uncomfortable but then again that goes against the very nature of social media doesn't it? Twitter, like all social media is...
⚡4/7 a platform on to which we're able to share our diverse viewpoints; the things that truly make us great as Americans. It's uncomfortable seeing things we don't agree with sometimes and we're well within our right to remove ourselves from those environments too.
⚡5/7 I think it's on us to find that balance of open-mindedness and empathy no matter where we stand. We all have our reasons to believe what we believe as people but that shouldn't remove the opportunity to gain from other perspectives. However...
⚡6/7 what can we gain from other perspectives if those perspectives are presented in a way that come off as patronizing or sometimes insulting to our character? I'm just making observations and my fellow Americans — my fellow Bolt Fam — I hope we're all making observations too.
