The behaviour this fandom has exhibited over the past three days is just another symptom of a deeply-rooted ideology we are fighting against. You are racist.

Every time black ARMY has stood up for what is right, asked for justice, asked for the members to be held accountable for their actions, it has been met with pushback, often VIOLENT pushback. Death threats. Doxxing. Virtual attacks.

You have demonstrated that you do not care about black lives. That you do not care to hear our voices, that our existence is for nothing more than diversity points, for the music we make, the culture we exhibit, the vernaculars we speak. That we exist only as a means to an end.

You put the REPUTATION of a Korean man who will NEVER know you or care about you above the lives of people you call a part of your family. Borahae nation. You put his image and that of his group above those he offended. You tried to silence us. You have silenced us.

You reacted to DEFEND rather than to UNDERSTAND why black stans were upset. Your initial focus was to clear searches, to shove this under the rug, to act like the 900+ lives taken by the man sampled on that track were not worth discussing. Were not worthy of an explanation.

You got on this blasted bird app and called black stans fake and ingenuine for wanting an EXPLANATION. You took a demand for accountability as an attack on his artistry. In the face of researched, facts-based evidence, you chose to defend, and do so blindly.

You invalidated the feelings and emotions of the thousands of black ARMYs across the world who were offended, alarmed and shocked at something this insensitive. You looked us in the face and told what we had to say doesn't matter because your oppa can do no wrong.

You pride yourselves on inclusivity and mental health awareness. You lord around how much better, how much more integrated you are than every other fandom. Yet when we needed your support most, when we thought you would for ONCE put humanity FIRST, you failed us.

You threatened to dox a black woman for speaking up. You were willing to ruin a life, possibly cause her physical harm, because you put a curated, untouchable image of a man you will NEVER fully know above the lives of hurting, angry, confused black people already in pain.

You took the words of a couple coons so far up an idol's ass and ran with them to justify a situation that never should have happened and turned around and told us to be quiet. Guilt trip us. Make us feel like we had no basis for agitating for what was right.

YOU. STOOD. BY. and left us to fight on our own with these petitions, these donations, everything we're doing to force change for black people not just in America but around the world. Walked away. Played dead. Deactivated while MY PEOPLE were being killed and assaulted.

Y'all got on here with your performative copy-paste activism with your hashtag reply chains and black power fists in your pfps and INVALIDATED AND DEHUMANIZED BLACK PEOPLE OVER KPOP IN THE SAME BREATH.

Y'ALL HAD THE BLASTED AUDACITY TO EDIT THE BLACK POWER FIST TO INCORPORATE YOUR IDENTITY AS AN ARMY YET CONDEMNED US.

So don't you EVER frigging question why so many loathe you. Don't you EVER wonder why people say and think the things that they do. And don't you DARE say "it's not all armys" because IT'S ENOUGH of you for me to even have to type this. IT'S ENOUGH.

If you're not willing to admit you were wrong and give us the justice and support we deserve, strip that Black Lives Matter shit off your account because to you, they don't. If you can't see the problem and this tweet, this thread makes you upset, know that you are complicit.

And if the only thing you can say when someone asks you who you are is "I'm an ARMY", think about what that says about how you see yourself.

You are a human before you are anything else. Don't you dare forget that.
