tearing down others and belittling their opinions isn’t going to solve anything. if someone is in the wrong, just simply correct them in a respectful manner and hope that they learn their lesson. this world doesn’t need anymore negativity than it already has.
this is a time where we need to unite more than ever. we need to also understand that just because situations don’t apply to us directly, doesn’t mean we get to pretend it isn’t happening. everything going on right now is affecting america as a whole.
educate yourselves as to what is going on. form an opinion. educate your family members who don’t have access to these platforms as well. we are lucky to live in a city where the minority is the majority but that doesn’t mean we should ignore everything going on.
we must show empathy towards other communities because i’m sure if this was the other way around, we would want and appreciate the support. everyone was made equal and we shouldn’t be stereotyped just because our skin is a certain color or we look a certain way.
also stop belittling others who don’t have the opportunity to actually go out and protest. some people can’t afford to be in contact with so many people and contract covid as they may have elders in their household. your health and your family’s health come first always.
you can find other ways to contribute because at the end of the day, it’s the thought that counts and any effort is help regardless. don’t let others degrade you just because you’re not rioting and protesting. yes, it’s ideal but it’s not necessary or required.
finally, BLACK LIVES MATTER. all lives matter as well but all lives aren’t subject to the situations that have been ongoing for decades and even centuries. it’s inhumane and it needs to come to an end for the sake of our future families and the future of america.
