/ A quick thread on Twitter, $TSLAQ, politics, etc. In general, $TSLAQ is a very diverse group of people united by one thing - exposing Elonzi. It doesn't surprise me that we have a wide range of opinions on virtually everything else. Normally, this is healthy.
/ In fact, I view this as very strong evidence for our position on $TSLA: this will be the only thing everyone agrees on. We come from different backgrounds, experiences, races, genders, economic classes, countries, etc. And yet we've all come to the same conclusion on Elonzi.
/ On the flip side, Twitter is DESIGNED to make you angry and to divide. I know this from personal experience. Twitter puts tweets in your feed to trigger divisiveness. Angry users are engaged users, and Twitter is optimized for engagement.
/ I am human. I come from my own unique background. I have failed on Twitter more often than I care to admit. What makes Twitter great also makes it infuriating. It is so raw. Pressing send is so easy.
/ The US is going through one of the most challenging times in its history. COVID, riots, and economic collapse are adding to the strains in our culture. The Twitter algorithm makes this even worse.
/ My personal philosophy is as follows: I have a wide berth of tolerance for political views I disagree with. Generally, unless somebody is directly rude to me, I try my best to avoid engaging and just move on. I'm not perfect, but that's my strategy.
/ If you've tweeted something you regret, think about deleting it. If you've blocked someone you've previously enjoyed following, consider unblocking them. And most of all, remember that Twitter is purposely making you angry.
