Every form of abuse, including & particularly rape, is very dehumanising.

People don't seem to understand why that is for some reason, which I find ridiculous, here’s one of the reasons why we treat rape the way we do.

The short answer is “free will”, a longer answer is this:
Free will is significant, even to God—the reason why He will NEVER force you to do anything.

With God, you always have a choice. It’s always your decision to make; you can ALWAYS say no. Even God understands the importance of free will, down to the animal and plant kingdom.
Humans pride themselves in their freedom and their ability to exercise such free will at all and any time.

So to rape someone is to take away their free will.

To rape someone is to take that right away from them, a right that even God sought as important to give them.
To rape someone is to exercise unauthorised control over the basis of their humanity—their free will.

To rape someone is to take what is not yours by force, because you think you are obligated to it or you have a right to it (which you don’t).
To rape someone is to tell them that they don’t have the right or power to make decisions about themselves by themselves.

No one has a right to anything or anyone. No one owes you anything. When someone says no, then it’s no. It’s that simple.
No one has the right to override anyone’s free will, absolutely no one.

So when we fight and speak against rape; we speak against entitlement, we speak against abuse of power and trust, we speak against dissent, we speak against injustice, we speak against inhumanity.
And nothing, absolutely nothing makes or will make it okay.

There is no excuse in the world, absolutely nothing, that will ever make rape and abuse justifiable or ”okay.”

There is no reason in the world why we would or should ”reason” with rapists and rape apologists.
