A chunk of the population will never emotionally allow themselves to see the deep-rooted truth of all this. And they can do that bc they’ve never HAD 2see the assaulting & constant racism built into every fiber of this country. For them, empathy’s reserved for dogs.

To seek to understand other humans opens up a whole can of worms. Too many people have built too fragile a reality for themselves to do that. They gotta protect that house of cards!

The idea of blowing it all up & rebuilding together makes them feel something’s being taken from them, instead of a whole new beautiful world being given.
