Before I start talking, here are a few things:
•I myself am a black girl/woman
•I know hair is a big part of my culture
•I braided my hair this morning.

Reason 1They aren't copying/disrespecting/posing our culture:
Did they tan themselves to look black? Did the edit there bodies to look black? Did you answer no to both questions? Good. What they did was say "hey that hairstyle is cool and it fits our concept, lets try it." (+)

They didn't say Hey I want to suddenly become black or Hey I'm going to mock the black/African culture. Hair is important to the culture.I know.I've watch countless documentaries on my culture. Read articles, books, anything on it.I love our hair. So I know how important it is.
Reason 2 "Well they don't know anything and need to be educated.":
No. Don't make assumptions. We don't know what they know. They might be educated on it and you saying that is making it seem like you know nothing. Everyone around the world is educated on slavery (+)

All around the world. We learn about african culture. So when an asian says "I like this hairstyle so Im going to try it" it suddenly becomes wrong. So is it wrong for me to appreciate Korean and Taiwanese culture now? No. What about all the black kids into anime who (+)
Learn and appreciate Japanese culture? Are they wrong too? No. Because its ok to appreciate other cultures.
In my school there are a group of black kids who learned Japanese because they liked anime. They on our schools culture appreciation day wore traditional japanese (+)

Clothing and hair styles (which they slayed) Was I, a Japanese person, offended? Hell to the no. I was impressed. They knew more about a part of me than I did.
Reason 3, I'm petty so here we go:
We really gonna be like this? Getting Tw!ce to not appreciate our culture through hair styles? Ok. So now according to this logic, that we cant appreciate things from other culters, now dont eat any food from other cultures. Bye empanadas.

Bye pizza. Bye ramen. Bye jokbal. Ect. Bye kimotos. Bye buns. Bye dramatic cutting of the hair. Bye literally anything from another culture. I get hair styles is important in out culture, I get it. But some girls who appreciate it can rock the style. They rock it better than me.
We fucked up yall.

I just came to rightfully defend my queens. No one knows what they talking about when attacking. https://twitter.com/JadahAngel/status/1267121035524046850?s=19
