Iâm not saying we should be un-neighborly, but maybe we should ask our disaster tourists what theyâre contributing today. Are they shopping at black and POC-owned businesses or taking selfies in front of them? Are they donating *donating today* to black & POC-led organizing?

He was 46. I will turn 46 this year. He and I had really different lives, but I know what itâs like to have put four and a half decades behind you.
I remember my first kiss & my first concert. I know what itâs like to watch nieces and nephews and cousins become adults. Iâve had good jobs & sh*tty jobs.
By your mid-40s youâve lived some life. A 46-year-old man, a 46-year-old black man in Minnesota, in particular, has all that inside of him, and much, much more. And you donât get to 46 without others being inside of you too.
Itâs 46 years-worth of people who raised, taught, fed, hired, preached at, & loved you. Itâs all the people who made you possible.
