Do you remember when you joined Twitter? I do! #MyTwitterAnniversary

Twitter offered to me the opportunity to send this ridiculous, self-obsessed twitter anniversary tweet. So I thought I would use the opportunity to acknowledge the many sources of pain, anguish, difficulty, and struggle felt by so many in our communities over these past weeks.

And more specifically to thank many folks working on a regular basis to improve the world around us in hopes that these circumstances might change for the better; and to thank them for bringing awareness to my consciousness that I might contribute in some way to their efforts.

Twitter can be brutally hurtful; and it can be brutally superficial; but you have helped to make it massively transformative for me and others like me by sharing your struggles and thoughts for improvement, and by elevating voices and ideas of others.

I know I will fail to thank everyone I should, and for this reason I am reticent to make lists; but in the spirit of elevating these voices through my meagre 8-year twitter following, I wish to thank you...
