A message to young, black, college athletes everywhere:

If your coach(es) aren& #39;t concerned about your welfare right now and/or speaking up about issues that affect you (publicly or privately), call them or walk into their office tomorrow to find out why.

They spoke up when they needed you to choose their school. They asked about your condition when they needed you to press thru your injury to get them just a few more points. They called YOU out when you messed up that play, so we know they can speak up.

Also, their delayed responses are unacceptable. They are ppl who think ahead. They started recruited you years before you could enroll at a college. They prepare for Nov opponents in the spring. It shouldn& #39;t take them yrs of watching this madness to have a conversation with you.

They have influence. They have money. They have some of the biggest personalities on the planet. You can& #39;t tell me they don& #39;t have the time or the reason to have meaningful conversations w their players.
