SO.

The idea that North American Indians were more susceptible to the effects of alcohol, couldn't hold their alcohol, got more dangerous than white people when drinking alcohol?

Completely, utterly, 100% myth made up by colonists.

And anyone perpetuating it today is a racist. https://twitter.com/nightsofneep/status/1266908588657672192
There are definitely issues with alcohol in Native communities.

Just like there are issues with alcohol in all communities.

Roughly 50% of my extended family members are substance abusers. Odd that no one had ever blamed that on their skin colour.
A lot of issues Native communities gave are directly related to how they have been treated for the last 500 years.

Not their genetics.

I lived in Saskatoon during the infamous Starlight Tours. Not sure how it was discussed in other parts of Canada, if it ever was, but there was a lot of "meh" shoulder shrugging from my coworkers. https://twitter.com/EnemyStepOnMe/status/1266473681775099904?s=19
