The message in academia is "shut up and get your work done." As one former college said to me: "must you always rock the boat"? LOL. She missed the point that I was trying to flip it over.

I've angered so many colleagues over the years for my activist work. They don't mind me writing about activism in a historical sense. But don't you dare get involved today! It's always easier to shut up and be docile in #academia. But at what cost?
