Marielle Franco was a black woman who used to fight for human rights. She used to be the voice for many people that didn't have the platform to speak up. She fought for others until March 14th of 2018, that is when she was assassinated. [thread]
Marielle was a sociologist and politician affiliated to the Socialism and Liberty Party. She got elected for councilwoman in 2016, with the 5th larger voting. But long before that, Marielle was already a part of the Commission for the Defense of Human Rights and Citizenship of+
the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro.
Marielle Franco denounced police brutality present in the communities on Rio de Janeiro. She fought for LGBT+ rights, for racial equity, women's rights. She fought for social justice, in general, with an absurd strength.
Marielle wasn't afraid of going against the people she thought were wrong, even if those people were powerful. And that, multiplied by the love she had for the underrated, called some unwanted attention.
After helping in investigations on Federal and State police, somebody tried to keep her quiet.
So, in March 14th, 2018, when she was leaving a social debate about black feminism, after entering her car, she got shot along with the driver, Anderson Gomes.
13 shots were fired from a similar car right next to theirs. The investigation? That is exactly what we are claiming. The bullets were proven to be the same as the ones seen in the biggest slaughter on the State of São Paulo, and, those were shot by policeman.
Afterwards, a testimony links the shooting to the president of this country. The main suspect lives in the same complex as him, and another suspect was seen, by the doorman, going to apartment number 58, that it is where Bolsonaro lives.
All of this investigation is very blurry. It seems, only, like somebody is hiding in the open. Powerful people are involved, but, apparently, they don't know that we are even more powerful. We all want to know: WHO ORDERED TO KILL MARIELLE FRANCO?
