(1) In a little less than a month, Pieces will be available on Kindle and Amazon. It is a short release. It consists of seven short stories, clocking in at about 40,000 words total. One could get through it in a day or two. Much shorter than your average

(2) release, and definitely shorter than one would expect of something I’ve been working on for four years. And I understand that that’s not every cup of tea, but I love these stories and I want them out in the world. They’re not perfect, I’m not some virtuoso

(3) in the craft of writing. What I am is someone has ideas and wants to put them on paper. I love writing for the sake of writing, and I’m aware that what I do doesn’t necessarily sit within the realm of “publishable.” And that’s okay with me. I accepted long ago

(4) that I may never be published, as many people write but not as many can make their living off of it. Why am I putting it for sale, then, if I don’t intend to make money off of it? Because I still worked hard and if people feel I deserve a couple of dollars in

(5) exchange for that work, then I appreciate it and am eternally grateful. Even if I don’t sell a single copy, I’m still happy to put it out there. And I’ll continue putting my writing out there, as a sort of creative tapestry for myself.

(6) I also just noticed the numerous typos in this thread and, you know what, that is indicative of my willingness to put flawed but passionate writing into the world, so I only regret the typos a little bit.
