This means that irony is a tactic, not a strategy. If you deploy irony against the wrong enemy, that means you get Bane'd: you merely adopted the irony, they were born in it

At the same time, if your irony isn't wrapped around a kernel of hard truth, if someone suddenly replies with sincere truth, your irony is instantly shattered like a cheap glass: you are BTFO'd, there is nothing left but a bloody mess on the floor
