I know I said that I want little to do with politics on this account, but I do have criticism with the purity that some expect from gimmick accounts such as this and my own, so I think it's important to clarify when and how it belongs. https://twitter.com/TeenTitansNC/status/1266812992009703425
Organic politics comes naturally from the content you promise. It is required that the content speaks for itself because we don't own these intellectual properties like a public figure owns their own voice. We can't decide who can like and associate with a show except ourselves.
Inorganic politics is when the account owner starts spouting about current events without the content they promised speaking for itself. It's... okay as a one off post to express some worries...
But if it continually drags on and derails from the focus of your account brand, that's when it goes into cringe territory. The lowest level, however is when the account owner goes out of their way to call out potential followers for differing opinions on morally gray issues.
EXAMPLE #1:
"Racism is wrong and it should be condemned."

Should be nothing controversial about this statement. It would be favorable if your core content speaks for itself, Like Cyborg's "Because I'm part robot".
EXAMPLE #2:
"If you are racist, unfollow me."

You are clear who you don't want to associate with, but this is a futile demand trying to take control where none can be taken. It is far more productive to just block offenders with as little commotion as possible.
EXAMPLE #3:
"Because you associate with this guy or opinion, you're racist, unfollow me."

This one is the SUPER BIG NO NO. Conflating disagreement on a gray issue with racism is a one way ticket to lose the company of otherwise okay people.
Example 1 is perfectly fine when politics has an organic relationship with the core content, such as narrative stories or comedy skits talking about it.

If your content doesn't have an organic relationship with politics, all we ask is that you don't be toxic and post sparingly.
I only made this thread as a critique to the boundaries of forced politics/apolitical purity in the fandoms we enjoy in the hopes that we can learn from the mistakes of others and understand what is relevant or unnecessary to the content we promise in the titles of our accounts.
Now if you excuse me, I want to go back to posting Galaxy Angel stuff and have fun.
