I am a Christian, but I have learnt that it is wrong to insist that Christianity is the ONLY way to God. I was born & began accompanying my parents to Church. Most Christians are born 'into' the religious institution of Christianity. Yes you are to find Christ for yourself later

By the time you find Christ for yourself, you are already wired & primed to be a Christian, you already see it as the true religion. You are already inclined to believing that Christ is the only way. You listened to preachers quote from the Bible - that Christ is the only way

At home, your parents taught you that Christ was the only way and that every one who wasn't following Christ was going to face damnation. At church, all you heard was Christ, all you saw was Christ - most of you for many years and decades. Your soul was primed for Christ.

Truth is, for the most part you lacked the ability to think independently. You lacked the ability to consider whether what you were learning from the Bible or being taught was pure truth and the only truth. You lacked the ability to considering any other option. You were Bias

By the time you met Christ, whether by supernatural means or not, you could only see Christ. It was impossible for the Prophet Mohammed or Buddha to appear to you in your dream & say "I am the truth, follow me". Even if you had that type of dream, you are told to 'cast & bind'

Your parents would have shouted at you for blasphemy or say that you were possessed by a demon. You may be taken to Church for deliverance. The conversation -

Mum - Pastor, my son has been seeing Buddha in his dream

Pastor - God forbid!! (leaping off from his chair, praying).

30 Days dry fasting don start. To rid you of every demon. The Pastor will look for a name to call the demon. Maybe the "The Prince of Asia" & then they will start speaking in tongues on top your head. If the Buddha experiences persist, you will be an outcast - given to the Devil

So you see that you never really had a choice. This is the true story of religion in the World. It is the story of most Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, Buddhists, Jews etc. You were born into it. You were primed for it. It was your destiny, no escape.

Granted, there are cases of Christians converting to Islam and Muslims converting to Christianity. But the number of these conversions are what English grammarians call "infinite decimal" - irrational, unreliable and extremely minute numbers. Like a drop of water in an Ocean

It is the same for the Muslims. They were literally born into Islam like we Christians are (Please I am not talking about the relationship with Christ called being "born again"). I am talking about the religious institution in which you find yourself.

So the average Muslim born in Kano, Iran or Saudi Arabia is also naturally wired to think that Christians are infidels & primed for damnation. So we think that our brother from another faith is going to hell. The Bible doesn't say this literally. But this is what Preachers teach

I think that this is what the Imams teach as well and perhaps other faiths. But is it possible that this can be the intention of God? I very much doubt it. I do not believe any God can intend this - that followers of other faiths will be damned in hell.

Remember, I said I am a Christian. But I wasn't there when the Bible was written and compiled. You weren't there as well. You weren't there when the Quran was written. You weren't there when Mohammed met an angel who gave him instructions. We were all told & shown from the books

It is written that the Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit. Some of the events written in the Bible have been verified to have happened by independent historians and archeologists. And for the most part, I believe the events in the Bible.

The truth is it was men who sat down to interpret and compile what we now know today as the Bible. Men like you and I. Monks, Preachers, Priests, Bishops, Kings and Emperors - perhaps inspired by the Holy Spirit but I believe they all had their field day. After all, they are men

So imagine what the world is like today, after all the development and advancement - imagine all the hatred, vile, oppression, injustice that humans have suffered at each other's hands - all the wars, conquests, genocides, forced religion by violence, slavery, apartheid, killings

Have you imagined all the evil I have tried to paint? The evil done on humans by humans for thousands of years? With all the evil & oppression today, it took the human species thousands of years to be this good. That is, any good we see today, took thousands of years of struggle

The human species of today is a direct product of all the advancement, enlightenment, education and knowledge spanning thousands of years. Now sit down, close your eyes, take a deep breath. See it with me - It was the human species of over 2000 years ago that compiled the Bible

So with all the wickedness from humans in the world today, it was the 2000 years plus ago version of the human species that sat down and compiled the Bible. You can imagine what the wickedness and vile would have been like at that time. They sat down and compiled the Bible

So you see why the Bible speaks about women with the oppression and the subjugation that it does? You see why the Bible day characters had slaves? You see why Paul advised a slave who escaped to return to his master? You see why they conquered the lands they did, with violence?

The same Bible says God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He can never change. The same Bible says God is a God of liberty and joy. The same Bible allows killings, conquests and land grabbing, oppression of women by asking them to shut the fuck up when men are talking

There is plenty of talk in the Bible about God being a God of justice, happiness, joy and liberty. There is plenty of talk in the Bible about God's people conquering lands, killing inhabitants, oppressing women, permitting slavery. All inconsistent.What happened? Did God change?

Is it possible for God to change his mind and his character? We are told its not possible. So why all these inconsistencies? Today's empires which forced Christianity down our throats and were the beacon of oppression now claim to be the beacon of hope, love, freedom & liberty

Then it was good for Rome to fight wars, conquer lands and impose Christianity. It was good for the British and the Americans to enslave people. Now these same powers will tell you it is barbaric to do so. What changed? Has your am conquering, land grabbing god changed his mind?

I do not think so. God may change his decision out of mercy but his character cannot change. So who painted the pictures of 2 inconsistent gods in 1 Bible? So after the Holy Spirit inspired the text who compiled the Bible that we now accept hook, line and sinker? I will tell you

The early Church was always quarrelling and fighting about the correctness of scripture. Factions had different theologies - from whether Christ was the only way to the Holy Spirit etc. So the successors of Peter (as the Catholics like to call their Popes) had conferences

To debate and agree on one scripture. They called Council Meetings in Rome, Florence, Carthage, Trent and finally Lycerene. These people are not any different from today's politicians, preachers and kings. If anything they were worse, being 2000 years backward from today

After many months of debates and horse-trading, they agreed on all we now know as the Bible at the last Council Meeting in Lycerene. These Councils were under the auspices of popes who were declaring holy wars over Jerusalem and sought to conquer the world. You can check history

At this Council, they agreed on what gets in & what couldn't get in into the Bible. Factions negotiated their theology like the politicians do today in Party & Cabinet meetings. Just like our Federal Executive Council. There is no way these men would not have imputed their ideas

If you desire to dominate the world with your religion and rule over the world, will you tell people they have an option? Or you will tell them that Christ is the only way? Will you tell people that if they choose to follow another god they will still go to heaven?

Will you tell people never to indulge in slavery? When you have slaves at home. Will you tell people that women are your equal & should be treated with dignity when your wife is shutting the fuck up at home? Will you tell people that conquests are bad when you seek to conquer?

Remember, these men claimed to have been inspired by the Holy Spirit, yet they were beheading people who told them the earth was round and spherical, and not flat. The Holy Spirit could not inspire them that the earth was round. It took science to change the position

People who were not sure whether the earth was round or flat and falsely killed Gamaliel for blasphemy by telling them the earth was round are the same people who are 100% sure of what they compiled as the Bible? If the Holy Spirit could tell you that Christ was the only way ....

He could also have told you that the earth was round and spherical. God doesn't play dice. He is inch perfect. So do you see the inspiration of God in all the inconsistencies or you see the ideas of men? I see God where it is about love. I see men in the inconsistencies.
