Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, Glorious Redeemer of the Human Race, incarnate Second Divine Person of the most Holy Trinity, and Sovereign King of all Creation, didn’t ask us to love one another.

HE COMMANDED IT.
“This I command you, to love one another” (Jn 15:17).

Then he allowed his persecutors to hang him on a piece of rough, splintery wood for three hours with nails driven through his hands, thorns skewering his skull, and timber shredding the skin off from his back, until he died.
His command wasn’t a mere platitude. He showed us what it meant.

If you read this, please make time to think long and hard about this, and what real, concrete actions you’re called to do in light of the command from the King of the Universe.
I’m serious. Do not like, comment on, or retweet any part of this thread without meditating deeply on the command to love one another. I’m gonna go do it right now.
